The Power of Who: You Already Know Everyone You Need to Know

The saying goes: It is not what you know, but who you know. It has always rang true for me. Our lives are completed by the people we know. If used wisely, the people we know can be great connections. Our connections help us with just about everything: our careers, our projects and even in who we marry. What if I were to tell you something remarkable? You already know everyone you need to know. You don’t need to do another networking event again. Would you be relieved? I bet most of us would be a little relieved. Let’s face it, “networking” meetings can be a bit daunting for most of us.

Beaudine’s premise begins with the 100 /40 strategy. The first set of numbers reflect relationships while the second set of numbers refers to our goals and dreams. Beaudine points out not to get hung up on the number, only pay attention to the ratio. If you only know 20 people- this theory will still work. His theory is simple. Within our relationships, there are people who can become advocates for us. They can get our foot in the door of our dream job or introduce us to our spouse. The point? Our greatest resource is our friends.

The Power of Who is a common sense approach with a big pay-off. Enjoy!
