Mindfulness (HBR Emotional Intelligence Series)

Most of you have heard the term Emotional Intelligence. It has become a buzz-worthy phrase. I believe it is one of the most important facets in our quest for personal and professional growth. I offer Emotional Quotient assessments as part of my coaching and have found this to be one of the areas many of us struggle. It also happens to make EQ one of the areas that we can see the greatest improvement.

There are four books in the Harvard Business Review’s series on Emotional Intelligence, Mindfulness is one of the four. It provides an excellent snapshot of what Mindfulness is and how it can help you in your life. The book is a quick 115 pages with nine short chapters. Using interesting case-studies, the authors make the case for the art of mindfulness. I will review the other three books in future posts. Hope you enjoy!
