I often hear my clients say “he doesn’t think strategically enough”. In Execution, Bossidy and Charan remind us that it is putting boots on the ground, tactical thought and action, rather than strategy, that make us money. What is missing today, they assert, is a lack of execution.
They make their case, but then they do something rather interesting. They tell you, specifically, what to do about it. There are tips and tricks scattered throughout the book that make it eminently readable. As its title suggests, the book is executable! An easy read, this is a good book to put beside “The Lords of Strategy”.
